        SILENCE ENGULFING A WOMAN.

I was a bubbling fountain of merriness for my parents,

I always moved around like crazy wild wind increasing my mom’s errands,

No stop to mouth, as would always be buzzing like a bee which surrounds,

But one-day mom got worried when she saw I was lost in silence,

She patted on my head and asked the reason for my stillness?

With a river flowing from the eyes, I said that it was the sorrow that my heart possesses,

Of leaving her and going away to a far-off land with my prince.

A few years later, was lying on the terrace staring at the moon,

It winked at me and asked the reason for my gloom,

It said that I continuously flowed like the ocean current at noon,

But today, I was alone and lay silently outside the room,

When it teased me a lot, I broke my silence and groaned,

With painful tears flowing, I uttered that to distant land my king had gone,

Without him, my heart was miserable, and I was alone.

After few more years, the plants I water swayed and asked,

What was the matter that I was paused,

They said that I always surround them like lightning and thunder,

But today, they felt as though there was no life in their friend,

When they promised not to disclose to anyone the reason to be sad,

I revealed that I was missing my kids who were away to follow their dreams,

Without them, life was like a living corpse walking and horrible.

The life of a woman is filled with silence,

She is born with a lot of noise,

But with passing time, the silence becomes her voice,

In every phase of life, her heart is cut into pieces,

But she is expected to maintain her calm and face it with tolerance,

That is why it is not easy to be a woman.
